What is Quick Draw?

Quick Draw is an open-source educational game and experimental platform built to demonstrate real-time pattern recognition using deep learning. It addresses the challenge of interpreting highly variable, abstract human drawings, which lack the dense visual texture found in natural photographs. By asking global users to sketch everyday objects under time constraints, the project collects standardized drawing data that helps computer vision systems understand low-fidelity vector representations. The system accepts dynamic user inputs in the form of stroke coordinates mapped over time. Unlike standard image recognition tools that evaluate static grid matrices of RGB pixels, Quick Draw analyzes both spatial coordinates and temporal sequence data. It produces a real-time list of candidate classification labels alongside probability scores, updating its predictions after every individual stroke segment.
