What is Pixel Craft?
PixelCraft is an open-source web-based pixel art creator and frame-by-frame animation tool. Designed primarily for game developers, pixel artists, and digital animators, it solves the challenge of editing graphics at ultra-low canvas resolutions (such as 16x16 or 64x64 pixels) where traditional image editors blur or anti-alias edges by default. PixelCraft takes direct user input through point-and-click or graphics tablet brush strokes and maps those coordinates to an exact discrete integer grid. Its core output consists of individual frame PNG images, combined sprite sheet graphics with predictable tile offsets, or animated GIF files ready for implementation in web projects or game development engines like Unity and Phaser.
